Ice House Campground is surrounded by a mixed conifer forest on the shores of Ice House Reservoir. The campground offers hiking, biking, jet skiing and fishing. Ponderosa pine is a pleasing part of the surrounding region. The trees fill the air with a vanilla aroma and it's the tallest known pine tree in the country...
We had our eye on this campsite (61) for over a year and finally snagged it. Its on the water but secluded.
we got a new Canon camera so we coulde’t help having some fun with it. This is actually a setting in the camera.
So heather is sneaky and took this of me walking back to the beach. I look stern but we were having a great time.
heather cracks me up. She always likes to bring flotation devices and I think perhaps I have gone in the water once (Snow Lake) over the years. She really enjoys it so it makes me happy.
Heather calls this the mansion tent and we only use it when car camping. Unlike our backpacking tent, this thing is huge and also sets up in 3 minutes. Tons of room.
I grabbed the camera for a sunset picture because it looks similar to the sunrise colors and I found that interesting. Notice the lovely moon and boat out for a late stroll.
